First holiday with baby advice

Hi everyone! Just after some advice, we are off to Tenerife in a couple weeks flying from Manchester with PFB DD who will be 5 months

I am planning to order bottles of premade formula to boots and collect airside but if I have a couple in my hand luggage at security will they make me open all the bottles to check it's contents?

Also I'm going to be cold water sterilising so going to get some Milton tablets and a box, the tablets say 1 per 5L but if I take a smaller box could I just split the tablet? EG - 0.25 tablet to 1.25L

I've bought a cheap buggy and going to take the baby carrier too, any other tips or advice would be very much appreciated...

Thank you ❤️

You’re bottles will be fine, they have special trays at security to put them in so you don’t have to open any of them.

Not sure about the sterilising tablets sorry! I imagine you could split them but they don’t take up much room in the case anyway.

Not sure how warm it will be in Tenerife at this time of year? But one bit of advice I got from a local when we were in turkey with 3 month old DS last year was take his hat off when he’s in the pram/not in the sun so he can cool down, seems so obvious looking back but at the time it just seemed like covering him would be best.

Enjoy yourself this will be the easiest holiday with children you will ever have! Grin
