Rovaniemi , Lapland. Not Christmas season

Has anyone been to Lapland out of the Christmas season?

We're thinking of staying at the Santa Claus Holiday Village, but we have little interest in santa in March. It looks like there's quite a lot to do there though.

Just wondered if anyone had accommodation/activities advice? I'd love to see the northern lights if possible and do lots of snowy activities.

We've decided to stay about an hour away from Rovaniemi, in Rauna. Anyone whose been out of Santa season, what activities did you enjoy doing?

We've been in summer and over Christmas - summer is different activities to winter like watching brown bears in wild, canoeing, summer bobsleigh, whitewater rafting with lots of reindeer wandering around. Flew in Oulu, also visited Ruka and Kuusamo.

Would imagine March will be more like our Christmas stay so things like reindeer sleigh rides, husky sleigh rides, snowmobiles all of which are great. You could also do skiing - when we went it was -27C so no way would I have wanted to be out for hours but March maybe more possible - check conditions if want to do that.
