We are looking for a resort somewhere in Europe next summer. Not at all fussed where. DS is an only child and quite outgoing and I'd like somewhere he could meet other kids. He loves centre parks and always makes friends in the pool for example... we all like an all inclusive as we are so indecisive it makes it more relaxing, and a great pool with a lazy river or similar would be perfect. Can't go over 2k for a week, any ideas gratefully received! TIA

Can’t recommend anywhere but we stopped doing AI since the youngest was about 8 (but they do have lots of facilities). The price of holidays seems to have gone through the roof this year so you maybe hard pressed to find anything of any quality in July August for two children and an adult within budget. Unless you can take him out of school early or take him out of school at the beginning of Sept.

Yes, that could be true. We usually do AI in February, was hoping for similar in summer but it could be an impossible dream! Thanks!

We are looking for s/c for 4 for 10 days for under 3.5k and struggling to find anywhere decent. 3 will be cheaper and a week will be cheaper than 10 days so you may strike lucky if you have more access to cheaper flights than us (depending where you live) or are more flexible with dates Tuesdays are usually cheaper than holidays starting on a Friday or Saturday.

Yes, I'm free to fly out midweek, have had some luck on booking.com already, now if I can get flights for a reasonable amount I'll be happy! I'd do sc but that means having to cook :( which is not a holiday for me, and we are rubbish at choosing where to eat so ai is just the easy option. Good luck with your search, let's hope the £ jumps back up soon!

Try Turkey? But as the mother of 4 boys I would suggest flying easyJet bro Dubrovnik, book your own hotel. The sea is crystal clear, the food is excellent and you can walk around the medieval town where Game of Thrones was made, they loved it!
