Will booking a flight on credit card protect my money?
Galaxygirl93 · 11/10/2019 21:06
Looking to book flights Gatwick to Florida and return for September 2020. There is 5 adults going and 2 children, and we are looking to book all of the tickets altogether.
If we book the flights on a credit card, would the section 75 protection kick in for all 7 tickets??
Ive vaguely read somewhere that for example with a train ticket, it only works when booked seperately? Or am I making this up.

I believe it will. As long as it’s not above your limit!

Yes as long as it’s direct with the airline and not via agent or Paypal.

Yes. Things paid for by a credit card will be covered by the visa / mastercard guarantee. It doesn’t matter if you booked via a travel agent or airline.

Grumpy, the OP asked about s. 75 protection, which is more beneficial than the visa guarantee. OP you'll be fine as long as you don't book via an intermediary who breaks the direct relationship.

I had Thomas Cook flights booked on a Mastercard and got my money back last week, no problem
