Loveholidays not taking direct debit payments for holiday? (TC flights)

Hi. A couple of months ago - before I knew about Thomas Cook obviously - I booked next year's holiday with Loveholidays. The flights were with TC. I paid my deposit on booking, and then the first DD payment was supposed to leave my account on the 5th of this month. It hasn't. Fair enough I thought, the 5th is the weekend, but it still hasn't gone out today. Does this mean my holiday has been cancelled? Thanks.

No money should be taken because the TC flights you were booked on are no longer going ahead.

Have Loveholidays contacted you directly?

Their FAQ may help:-

I'm pretty sure the flight will have been TC literally doesn't exist any more. Have you contacted Loveholidays?

Thanks for the replies. I know that the TC flights obviously won't be going ahead, but I had assumed that the DD would still stand, and the payments readjusted when they had sourced alternative flights. The DD not going out presumably means that the hotel part has been cancelled too, but as no-one has been in touch I have no idea. LH are supposed to be getting in touch with all passengers to discuss their options, but I've heard nothing yet. I haven't been in touch with them as yet, as I assumed they'd be inundated. And I only booked up so early so that I'd have plenty of time to pay it up! (single mum of 3 on low income).

@AttilaTheMeerkat

Have just looked up your link, and that's super helpful. Thank you. Sounds like I'll be hearing from them soon.
