Would love some ideas for a holiday next September.
Ideally, no more than 2 hour flight so have been looking at Ibiza/Majorca etc. We have one DD who will be 3.5 when we go so would love somewhere that has things to keep her occupied.
I would love somewhere that’s not to commercialised, I hate places that are full of English pubs and restaurants (sorry if that’s your thing ).
Nice beaches, traditional places to eat and drink would be great.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions

Puerto Pollensa is beautiful and was a lovely place to take young children.
Restaurants on the Pine Walk, inches from the beach, children playing ...
Walking as far as children can walk, fishing nets - oh they were wonderful days!

Menorca for sure. My personal recommendation is cala santandria and local area. Lovely beaches and coves, not overly commercial but a short bus ride into Ciutadella which has lovely squares (one with a great shady playpark), restaurants and a regular market. We usually walk (about 40 minutes) and its really straightforward but you'd need a buggy for the little one.

Menorca is fab for small kids. We visited Cala En Forcat. Every bar/restaurant had large inflatables, all which can be used for free if you get a drink. We stayed in the Hi Binimar, which wasn't the most luxurious of places but it had a large splash pool and smaller normal pools. Apparently other resorts on the island are very similar.
Only word of caution is that the Balearics do tend to get rain in September. We flew August Bank holiday and it did rain, but only on an evening and we hadn't taken appropriate clothes for that 😂

Puerto Pollença. I'm in Pollença old town at the moment. Much quieter and cooler than the height of summer. Lovely place.
