Getting to Lake Como from the airport.

I’m looking into going to Lake Como. Normally on holidays I book a car to go to the hotel but this time it’s a bit too expensive.
I really don’t want to hire a car.

Does anyone know if the train is the best option?

Where on lake Como? Tbh we usually prebook a taxi transfer now when travelling. It is not that far.

I’m not sure at the moment but possibly Moltrasio.

Taxi

Best not to hire a car there is never anywhere to park 😀

Otherwise enjoy, it's so beautiful.

We stayed at Moltrasio & took a taxi. Most straightforward route.

How much was the taxi? And did you just get one from the airport rather than booking a car?
Thanks.

The cost of a pre booked car and driver is about £200 return.

We got trains form Venice to sirmionie. There wasn’t a stop at sirmionie but we got a can the short distance from the nearest station. Journey had some lovely views and took about 90mins I think?

Trains are great. We went from Milan and then got the aerofoil up the lake

Sorry I didn't see your reply, we had a car through the hotel (imperiale) which was 100€ each way.
