Where would be nice to go in the UK at Xmas by myself?

As per title, can anyone recommend anywhere for the Xmas /New Year period?
Not been having the best time lately and would rather not be at home alone for the holiday so thinking of going somewhere, maybe coastal for long beach walks or something.
For context, it's just me and live in London so anywhere I can fly to within the UK from one of the London airports.
Thank you

I would love to head to either Cornwall or Wales for a solo-Christmas OP. Both are beautiful in winter. Get a cottage and have a lovely time. In Cornwall there are so many stunning coastal villages.

Ooh Traeth Yr Ora, Anglesey.

North Norfolk - anywhere between Wells and Cromer. Gorgeous beaches, nature reserves, National Trust places, etc.

Sounds idyllic! I'd love to do that.

Hope you have a lovely time wherever you go OP. Personally I like the Yorkshire Dales and the moors but not sure about Christmas time, could be a bit too chilly.

I would go to the Shetland islands...with lots of books and wine and nice food-and somewhere with a log burner.

Dorset by the coast!! So much to do and so friendly!

I had problems finding something in the UK at a reasonable price, so I'm going to Lake Garda - 6days/5nights H.B. in a 4* hotel for less than a 3 night break in U.K.

Not costal but I did December in the Cotswolds a few years ago. The hotel had rooms with outdoor jacuzzis, there was a beautiful restaurant and it was next door to Westonbirt Arboretum. They had special evening walks through the park all lit up. Very relaxing and special.

YHA used to do Christmas breaks, not sure if they still do but some are in lovely locations. I went on one to Grasmere in the Lake District which was great, they put on a Christmas lunch and everything. Nearby pubs in the village had log fires and you could do some beautiful wintry walks during the day when it wasn't raining. Might mean sharing a dorm room, although that makes it very good value for money... Trains from London will get you to Windermere, then it's a short bus ride.

Or get a budget flight somewhere warmer like Seville. I went to Lisbon on my own last Christmas which was great and accommodation was very good value, got a nice studio flat in Alfama with a view of the river for about £25 per night. If you prefer somewhere more wintery, Ljubljana (Slovenia) is beautiful and has flights from London.
