Feb half term

I'm drawing a blank at a 7-10 day trip over half term for myself, DH and 2 yo DS. We want warm (so not Canaries). Budget is £3-4k, I've looked at Dubai, Thailand and Caribbean but nothing is calling out to me. We are pretty well travelled and happy doing long haul with DS.

I read very mixed things about Cape Verde?

Decent pool a must, happy with self catering, all inc and everything in between.

what about Guardalavaca? its got an average temperature of 30 in February, and if you stay somewhere like this, you are right on the beach but also have use of the pool etc x

I'm going to Cape Verde next Easter, never been before. What I've read is that it's fine if you're ok with having nothing to do outside the hotel. Beaches are supposed to be beautiful and hot all year round.

Thanks @sleepismysuperpower1 I'll have a look.

@chocolatesaltyballs22 I keep being told it's very windy there?

I've been to the Canaries in Feb incidentally and was swimming outdoors etc - it was plenty warm.

I've just been to Cape Verde and loved it. Depends what you want from a holiday though as there's not a lot to do apart from relax! I think it's supposed to be quite windy earlier in the year, but in August there was a gentle breeze each day which was lovely.
