Alcudia... help please!

Two children (9 and 7.5)

Looking to book a very simple week in alcudia next August. We just swim and beach every day. It’s a chance for me to properly chill out with my children - so culture or adrenaline well and truly takes a back seat.

Looking for an apartment but no idea best area. Would like to be super close to beach but also nice walking distance to a marina or the old town.

I have no idea where to start. Any advice please?

There's a Zafiro resort that gets good feedback. You need to be closer to the marina than the old town.

But Alcudia is a pretty tacky resort.

All we want is.... nice pool, lovely Beach, and walking distance to few restaurants and a shop.

Then once or twice we will head to old town

Hi we stayed in Playa de Muro just down the road from Alcúdia and much nicer. Buses are really good so we got buses into Alcúdia, Pollensa and Inca. Playa de Muro has a gorgeous beach with really clear, shallow water so perfect for kids. A few restaurants and gift shops, small supermarkets. We loved it.

We've been to Playa de Muro twice. I recommend Prinshotel La Dorada, where you can do SC, B&B or HB. Rooms are apartment, so you have a separate sleeping area from DC. It is a lovely hotel.
