Good holidays abroad for single parent and DC?

I am a single parent to 2 DS who will be 14 and 10/11 next summer and would like to find somewhere nice but reasonably priced to take them that they’ve never been to before.
We’d like to go abroad and so far we’ve done Spain and America.
Lanzarote/Canary Islands would be considered, maybe Italy? France? Corfu? Portugal?
When we went to Spain it was to stay with a friend I’d known all my life who had moved out there for a week and America was disney world so all very arranges.
They love most things and we do allot of walking.
Caves, volcanoes, cliffs, beautiful beaches ect would be amazing but no idea where to start.
Sorry for waffling on but any help appreaciated 😁

Been to Disney World and you say you’ve “done America”? 😂 There’s a whole lot more to see here than that!

Trouble is, the exchange rates are so poor now that everything is more expensive for Brits than before. That said, I think Italy is a good choice for children of that age. And a good mix of historical sites and beautiful scenery. It was my favorite holiday as a teen.

I’m so sorry I realise how ignorant that sounds! Blush
I just mean I’d like to take them to a country they’ve not been to before.
We’d be looking at maybe a half board or an all inclusive with transfers then we have the option of getting out for a few meals when we want to.
I’d like to find somewhere to stay that is family orientated but also that has great things to do and see whilst there.
Thank you for the advice Smile

Cruises round the Med are the obvious answer. You get all inclusive but get off everyday to somewhere new. Fantastic way to see Pompeii or the leaning tower of Pisa without having to stay there.

We love the south of France. Fly to Nice and get an apartment in Villefranche or Beaulieu or Antibes ( all have better beaches, Nice only has pebbles). There’s a train that runs all along the coast so you can have a day at each coastal town like Monaco and it goes all the way to Italy which is fun to do ( and cheap and only an hour from Nice). Lots of walking as it’s quite hilly and the views are gobsmackingly beautiful.

@SheWoreBlueVelvet both of those ideas sound absolutely amazing!
I think I will look into the south of France cost wise though.
Really like the idea of visiting the different coastal towns and a day or two in Italy!
Thank you Smile
