Montreal hotel

Can anyone recommend a good hotel in Montreal. Would be good to be near McGill/central Montreal with a nice bar as an added bonus.

Talking of bars - any recommendations?

We stayed in L’Hotel recently, boutique hotel with lots of artwork, central and very comfortable.
