Not been abroad for a few years now but would like to soon, The British weather spoils most of our breaks. We won't want to drive so ideally we'll get a cheap flight then taxi to the place we're staying.
So far I think we can fly to Venice then a taxi or bus to one of the campsites nearby. I'd also like to consider self-catering or a hotel but again with a short drive from the airport.
We'd like a beach or pool or lake nearby plus food should be easy ie shops and restaurants nearby. Children's entertainment not necessary, we like it to be quiet, it's the only thing putting me off Union Lido for example.
Any recommendations appreciated even if just a self catering website that allows to search 'near airport'.
