Where am I thinking of?

Hi

Single parent to 2 DC (will be 10 and 13 by summer) and planning on a holiday with a v good friend who is also a single parent and has 3 DC of similar ages.

We have been on a couple of all inclusives before to Majorca and Crete which obviously all the kids loved and so did we for the ease. We have also taken them all to Morroco before (a few days in Marrakesh and then a few days by a pool) and everyone loved the feeling of being somewhere different.

I know it's v early to be thinking about next year but we'd like to go outside of Europe next time. It might be Easter or summer. I know this affects things.

Ideally 2 weeks , a week doing stuff and a week relaxing by a beach / pool. Sri Lanka was somewhere we had previously discussed, Kerala? Is there anywhere you would recommend?

Money is a bit tight (starting to save now) so ideally somewhere that's not too expensive when you get there. Has anyone got any recommendations please?

Sri Lanka still or Mexico!
Costa Rica but I think that might be a bit price-y.

What about South Africa? A week doing safari then chill for a week.

Charley50 .. I like the idea of Mexico. I would love to go to Sri Lanka and I know it's not good for the country to stay away indefinitely but my best friend was there when the bombings happened and it just feels a bit soon to go back.

We loved Bulgaria this year. Still fairly cheap to get too and food / drink are very reasonable too.

Thailand...

Turkey & Egypt are not in EU so cheaper than other parts of Europe

Mexico is not cheap in the tourist areas
