Lux December honeymoon suggestions please

Hi folks,
looking for suggestions for a honeymoon in December in a Zika free zone as hopefully will be trying to get pregnant . Sporty couple, would love luxurious and a little bit off the usual tourist track if anyone has any experience or ideas . Thanks in advance everyone x

Start by looking at the current WHO list of countries with current/previous history of Zia and go from there. You can mainly write off the Caribbean and December is the ideal time to go there.

Oman. The weather will be nice in December (not too hot but pool swimmable). There’s a very good range of hotels in Muscat, luxurious isn’t going to be hard to find. Unlike Dubai they’ve kept a lot of their history so you’ll find forted towns with winding streets which look like they’ve not changed in centuries. If you dive, Muscat has great diving facilities. You can also get hiking tours into the mountains. Great place! Flight is about 7 hours and while it’s more expensive than Dubai it won’t break the bank.

This resort looks gorgeous! It might be a little remote though up near Nizwa. Fine if that’s what you want but perhaps best mixed with a few days in Muscat if you want more variety? I have been to both Nizwa and Muscat (we stayed in Muscat) and I’m not sure I would have wanted to base myself completely out in the sticks! That’s just personal though and if you hire a 4 wheel drive that could make the difference
