Tips on getting toddler to sleep on flight!

We have a 4.30 hour flight ahead of us...the flight in was ok as DD who is 18mo was awake for most of it (it was a 1pm flight) but was horrifically overtired for the last half an hour.
Our flight home is 6.30pm...which is her bedtime. However I’m terrified she’s going to get into that awful ‘nothing will help’ overtired stage again and will just scream and refuse to sleep.
Does anyone have any tips to get her to sleep? I think the main problem is that she hasn’t slept on any of us since she was about 6 months and will only nap on us now if she’s poorly. Terrified!!

Book her a seat. We’ve done a lot of long flights and I wouldn’t do it any other way. We do into PJs, then put DD in the window seat, blind down, cosy up with a pillow and blanket, watch a cartoon on the iPad with earphones and she always falls asleep herself. Last flight she only managed 15 minutes of frozen before she was out and then she slept right up until landing. However if it’s only a 4.5 hour flight and a seat isn’t an option could you not just have her on a slightly later schedule whilst you’re alway and ensure a good nap that afternoon so she’s not overtired? Mine would never sleep on us so it would be own seat or plan to stay up. Good luck!
