Holidays!

Currently on holiday in Spain - absolutely top notch hotel for two weeks all inclusive.
And I really don't want to move for the whole two weeks aside from between the pool and the bar!
All I keep getting asked from home is "which trips have you booked" but honestly I have no desire to see the area just to enjoy the sun and relax with my family.
Anyone else like this on holiday or am I just anti social lol x

In past years I've booked some pretty nice holidays - usually long-haul and for extended periods (min 3 weeks). I've had a bit of a year of it so and left it late, but I've got a week coming up in a small Spanish town.

Hotel by the beach, good restaurants - I'm basically going to lie down for a week baring drinks/food. I plan to read one book per day. I'm on my own so I don't even have to make the effort of conversation. Bliss

Eh, would be my idea of absolute hell! I had a ex pat dragged around the world childhood & it was always drummed in to us that if you were lucky enough to go to the places we did then the least you could do was actually go out and see them. But really each to their own & it’s your holiday and you do what you bloody well like! My DH likes a big amount of lying around so we usually compromise between what bores me and what bores him!

It's your holiday so do whatever feels good for you. I love a good lie down to read. I also love going out if the hotel but this usually ends up in me lying down somewhere else and it's bliss. If the hotel is top notch and you are ai then make the most of it. Sod what anyone else thinks

I have just come back from a similar break. I never thought lying by the pool for a fortnight would be my thing but with a stressful job and two children my holiday priorites have changed. Miss the hotel already. Sad

Can you say where u are, I'm in the market for ai suggestions.
Trying to find something but it's driving me mad.

I used to like lying by a pool for most of my holiday, but now I find that I would get bored. I like to go and explore and sightsee more these days. On a recent holiday to Madeira we saw loads, but still managed the odd couple of hours by the pool late afternoon on most days.

We are on Amadores beach in Spain. Stunning hotel.
Thanks everyone, clearly the general view is "each to their own" lol x

Gran canaria? Went to Puerto Rico years ago in September, amazing weather.

I think that might be the same hotel we're going to next year @ombre123 . I'm also looking for total relaxation!

Which hotel? Booking for next year and looking for ideas.
