I have four full days in Budapest in a couple of weeks with my boyfriend, what must we see/do whilst there? And where must we eat/drink?
Only plans so far are the spa and Buda Castle.

There is more than one spa. Gellert and Széchenyi Thermal Bath are musts. Fisherman's Bastion is beautiful. Consider an evening cruise on the Danube. I loved the statue park. I also did a longer day cruise on the Danube. The markets are also wonderful (and don't take long). I loved Budapest.

It depends on what you're into - but I would highly recommend a day mooching around Gellert Park then walking through to Castle district and Fisherman's bastion (if you're planning on visiting the castle you may want to split this.

Definitely get to one of the many thermal baths (I went to Szechenyi which is located in the City Park)

Jewish Quarter is really worth exploring - some great restaurants and bars. Restaurants I recommend: Macesz Bistro, Spinoza, and Menza.

Definitely check out ruin bars - Szimpla Kert is probably the most famous

I made very few plans when I went and just really enjoyed wandering around the city and exploring without too much of a plan. As you have 4 full days you have plenty of time (I only had 2 full days)

DS has just been. He went to all the above plus the Holocaust museum that I recall. He used this very up to date guide.

Not very romantic but the Terror Haus is a must as sad as it is.

Jewish quarter has plenty of bars and restaurants. If weather is good then sit outside in Karavan and choose whatever food takes your fancy

I second the Jewish Quarter. Also, if you like mooching around, there are all kinds of statues and sculptures around the streets, everything from Ronald Reagan to holocaust memorials.

Margaret Island is a lovely oasis if the city is hot and busy.

If you like wine, book a wine tasting with Faust wines beside the castle. Amazing tasting wines and very reasonable - can't just turn up though. Also Margaritte island has musical and lighted fountains on the hour, well worth a visit as is the island itself with a hippy vibe.

I think 4 is too much, maybe you could do a day trip to Vienna
