Dolomites: via Ferrata, hiking, cycling, general day out recommendations

My boyfriend and I are in the dolomites at end August. We are keen cyclists and have hired bikes to do the Sella Ronda loop. That is about all we have organised!

We’d love to try via ferrata- any route recommendations? And general tips (e.g. where to hire kit, do we really need a guide?)

We are staying in Alleghe but will have a car and would be ok to drive reasonable distances for a day.

Any must see towns bearish to us or ultimate pizza stops? Grin

There are a huge amount of via ferrata guide books for the dolomites. Just have a look in a local climbing shop. Likely place to hire kit from too.

Thanks @BubblesBubbly but I was looking for an actual route recommendation for beginner/ intermediate based on where I’m staying and previous experience. As you say, there are thousands of them.
