3 days for a lastminute deal

If you had 3 days to get away as a very last minute break, with a 10 and 13 year old, where would you choose to go? Want to keep it cheap as we have a proper holiday booked for when we get back. Don't really want a beach with nothing else to do in the area, but not sure 3 days of walking around Rome would appeal to the kids, so need somewhere a bit in between. Thinking along the lines of Barcelona, or Amalfi Coast. Any other suggestions?

Berlin - lots of threads on here about what to do there with kids. It's also very warm there at the moment!

Lisbon is meant to be lovely (I've never been myself).

I hadn't thought of Lisbon.
Thanks for the suggestions. Any others welcome.

I would highly recommend NiceSmile

I recommend Nice too. You can stay there or in Antibes/Juan Les Pins. So easy to train up and down the coast to Monaco and Cannes.

You could try putting your criteria into the deals sections of Jet2 holidays or city breaks and see what comes up.

Malaga or Barcelona would be good choices as there are beaches, but city stuff too. There's also a waterpark just down the coast in Fuengirola from Malaga, which is accessible by train or bus.

Yes, Lisbon is lovely too.

For something a bit different, how about Lucca? Beautiful atmospheric city, you can bike round the city walls off road, swim in the public pools (or at your hotel if it has a pool) and go to pizza/pasta/ice cream making classes. It's got a great rail service so you can get about really easily to explore further afield, including the coast. Wonderful restaurants too.

Munich is great - small enough to see in 3 days. Get on the metro and go the end of the line and enjoy the lakes with views of the Alps - so you can swim or hike etc

Rome is fantastic if they like history, but rather hot at this time of year. Vienna, Salzburg or Innsbruck? Northern French coast if you can drive - Le Touquet perhaps?

I have just booked DH and DS1 4 days in Warsaw. Would that suit? If not what about Amsterdam?

If you have another holiday booked it might be nice to mooch around a city for a couple of days.
