Security update Aug 06: Hand baggage must not contain any liquids or products made from constituted liquids* with the exception of prescription medicines and medical items sufficient and essential for the flight (please bring prescriptions with you). For those travelling with infants, baby food and milk sufficient and essential for the flight is allowed and must be tasted by the accompanying passenger.

*including any cosmetics, perfumes, gels, toothpastes and aerosols

just copied and pasted off monarch's website

we are off on hols soon, so just checking what we can and can't take

am getting letter for DSs epipen

now, if no cosmetics allowed, does that mean i cannot take a lipstick or mascara in my hand luggage?!?!?!

and re milk....DD is 2, so has cows milk, if i take milk in a bottle for her, as i have an insulated bottle carrier, which will keep it cold...but if i take a carton of formula instead, does it have to be opened and tasted before flying? or can it remain sealed until she is thirsty?

Lipstick and mascara were fine when I went as long as they were inthe see through bag.
As far as I know you will have to taste the milk before you board. If you buy the milk after the security checks and keepyour receipt I think you can take it on sealed.

There are size limits on the bag as well, I used a sandwich bag with a zip lock thingy, heathrow's website is good.

lulu
we got shedloads of stuff confiscated when we went to Rome - suntan lotion, deoderant, hair gel (anything over 200 mls)
had to buy travel sized stuff from Boots when we went through security
the shops in Duty Free will be well stocked with travel sized everything
