Where is great for amateur snorkeling?

Not too far away. 3 or 4 hours max from uk.

Amateur and easy.... think just strapping masks etc on she wading out into not too deep sea where we can see fish etc.

Just had a week in Malta and the snorkeling at the Blue lagoon on Comino blew me away.

Was about to say Malta! Tbh if you only want a short trip there is no where else better than Malta IMHO. Mexico and Egypt are amazing.

Egypt (Red Sea) is great, but slightly longer flight (5-6 hours) - but maybe it's worth it, considering it's also a rather cheap destination?
