Calling locals in Brighton and Hove area and Margate who have dogs

Hi, we are taking some visiting relatives to the BRighton area tonight and Margate tomorrow to go to the sea/beach and want to take our 3 dogs with us so need to know where exactly we can take them once there and to be able to let them off for a run and swim. Any suggestions gratefully receieved.

Disclaimer - we will only let them off if there are no little children about and will scoop up all poo.

Hi, no dogs on the beach at Brighton and Hove between may and sept but you can let your dogs run on Hove lawns which are right on the seafront. There are bins there for the poo. Or if you are nearer the Kemptown end your best bet is probably to go inland a bit and visit Queen's park. I would call it walking distance from the seafront for a fittish person but it is a fairly steep hill to climb if your rellies are elderly.

Just thought, if you are desperate to let your dogs have a swim in the sea you could always take a drive along to Shoreham Beach as they don't have restrictions along there and dogs are allowed all year round. I checked to make sure I wasn't giving you duff info here.
