Trunki BoostaPak on Ryanair

Hi,
We have a flight booked with Ryanair and we will be hiring a car and my youngest is 8. They’ve got priority seating which allows 1 cabin bag and 1 small bag. They do need the cabin bag but we got a boostapak for my daughter to carry on as the smaller bag and to use as a car seat on the plane and in rental car.

Will this be allowed as their small bag policy is 40 x 20 x 25 and the BoostaPak is 40 x 36 x 16.

Thanks

You won't be able to use it as a seat on board as is not designed to be used with a lap belt

It will depend on how nice the ground crew are. It won't fit in their luggage sizer so they could be difficult.

No, they won't allow that on board the aircraft for your DD to sit on and it will have to go in the hold if it is taken. I would pay for it to be taken as hold luggage.

No you cant take in onboard. It's bigger than their allowed cabin bag dimensions. If you want to take it you'll need to check it in and pay for it.

NoBaggyPants · 29/07/2019 14:09

It's way beyond the permitted dimensions so I'd expect it to be refused, anything beyond that is down to the goodwill of the ground staff.

You have answered your own question there.

We flew with Ryanair earlier this year, and my DC was able to take his Trunki booster onboard without any problems.

@Smellslikebiscuits

Perhaps that was as the larger cabin bag allowance?
