Roosevelt - NY, has anyone stayed there?

It's my first trip to NY, dh has been twice before. We've opted for the Roosevelt because of price (obviously) and cnetral location. A bit like closing the stable gate after the horse has bolted, but has anyone stayed there - all reviews appreciated. TIA

We've been twice - once for honeymoon and once with the children last year. Fab both times. Brilliant location. Hotel restaurant good but clearly only eat there if tied to hotel (as we were with the children in bed...). Great bakery just out the front for emergency coffee and bagels first thing.

Oh thank you HA, thats made me feel so much better. We're going on our own (wow) so will be using on a room only basis. If you have any other tips of where to eat (not pricey but 'different'), I would be greatly appreciated.
