Mid August, so 3 weeks time, 2 adults and 3 kids, not fussy on where we go but would like near beach and a pool.
Anyone able to find me anything!???
Do you think if we leave it until the week before we will be able to get something??

Have you looked at OnTheBeach?

Have a dig about on Jet2 - especially Bulgaria and, weirdly, Corfu!

I'd also recommend on the beach. We are a family of 5 (2 adults 3 DC) and have got a week all inclusive Tenerife for just under your budget

I found Spain for £400 hb a couple of weeks back last week of August. Just use online travel agents

Keep

@babycakes1010 really??? We’re 2 adults, 3 early secondary age DC and we gave up looking! We spent hours in travel agents! We just booked a Siblu Park in France. The accom is under £900 and the ferry was £500. It’s on the coast and has a pool but it’s self catering and the drive...

TakeMeToKernow · 22/07/2019 21:11

The problem we were having was the five people thing. Loads of results gave us two hotel rooms, non adjacent, which we didn’t want. Oh, and we’re not near London and couldn’t justify the drive to a London airport.

Look in the deals section of jet2holidays.

What does the budget have to cover? If you can do self catering in an apartment and be able to afford to pay for food on top, that's probably the cheapest way, if you are happy to cook simple food in the apartment and eat out some of the time - lunchtime is usually much cheaper.

It's likely that you will find something but there will be compromises - such as self catering and eating in quite a bit - check that there's a nearby supermarket and maybe have one of the DCs on a sofabed in the lounge. But you will have a beach, sun and pool holiday, that's the main thing.

Sorry that fired off quickly - this is the offer from VVF - quite basic self catering villages in France - but they are decent and often near beaches + have pools.

Villages vacances famille - 6 person accommodation for 6 days mid August in Brittany from 650ish euros - more for the south or Ile doleron - but doable !

Thanks for the suggestions.
We have gone for a Eurocamp right on the beach on the Adriatic coast near Venice for £1100 for a week. Pool looks amazing - huge lagoon types with slides etc
We are going to drive so with fuel, Eurotunnel, tolls and a couple of cheap hotels halfway there and back should be about £2k
