My partner and myself have never been abroad together. We are looking for a beach style holiday, nice hotel with shops and nightlife close by. We are in our 49s so nothing too wild😁 It will just be us two as the kids are staying g home - any recommendations?

Can you give an idea of budget & when you want to go? You say you’ve not been abroad together but are there any places you’ve been to in the past yourself that you have liked just to give people an idea of your tastes?

Past holidays have all revolves around the children.
Budget wise around 2000- 2500. I like places that aren't too busy so not the Benidorm style holiday but not too quiet.
Some friends have recommended Cala Dor in Majorca so perhaps someplace similar to that.

Lindos - it's got lots of fab rooftop restaurants for lovely romantic meals - a nice bar scene too

Staying the village is best - some lovely properties on exclusively Lindos

Santorini - especially if you are out of main holiday season. Beautiful. Ibiza is also gorgeous out of rave season!
The Puglia region of Italy has lots of places to offer. Or Sicily. Or Sardinia.

Greece is a good option, depending on when you are thinking, the southern parts are ideal if into late September/October. I loved Rhodes (ixia is more grown up). Otherwise Taormina in Sicily is a grown up option, think tiny streets, amazing food and wine with a chance to venture up mt etna, if you are sit by the beach people choose a nearby resort rather than the town (there's a cable car down from the town)
