Fun things to do in Dublin?

Booked 2 nights at the end of August (Fri-Sun) for 2 nights of fun & drinking with DH 😊

Any ideas for the best places for live bands, fun day trips or just something a little different to do?

Thanks!

Assuming you are staying central, Temple Bar area for food, music and drinks (day and night).
Walking around ... temple bar, Dublin Castle (museum gives historical dublin bsck before vikings), Christchurch, oconnell st, trinity college, grafton street area (pedestrian shopping area), st stephens green.

For history, Kilmainum jail (a bit further out on bus), book of kells (in trinity college), museum of irish immigration.

I dont rate Guinness factory tour, but it seems many do.

Altetnatives....
See what shows are on... there are a few theatres around the city centre.
Check if any matches are on that weekend in Croke Park (hurling or gaelic) ... but it is getting to crunch time of senior championships so tickets will be expensive and could be hard to get if there are matches.

Just enjoy the craic!!
