SO-Nearest place to New York to laze by a pool after 2 days shopping????????

Would really like to take DP to New York but we are both in need of some sun and relaxation....not something one immediately thinks of wrt New York.
However,is there anywhere relatively close by that we could just collapse by a pool and soak up some sun?

sorry just checked, the fast ferry from boston to ptown takes 90 mins

still brilliant though, you can take the T to boston harbour from anywhere in the city really easily

you'll almost certainly be the only straight couple in the place, but it has airconditioning, is on the water, has availability next week, and is only $175 a night (admit it, £90 is pretty good for such a comfortable place)
