Where to...

Been trying to decide where to go on holidays this year. OH is short on holiday days so definitely Europe not longer haul.
I had suggested Sardinia but he thinks it will be cool at night - think of mid/late Sept time. Have previsously been to Crete and Croatia.
We've never done a package holiday .
So, hivemind, suggest somewhere short haul, still warm in Sept that isn't plastic strip of bars please.

We went to Cagliari last September, & we didn't need jackets at night. It was the right time of year to go - less crowded, & not too hot when sightseeing. You could also look at Sicily - both islands have a lot to offer.

Think Sardinia will be fine. Sicily is nice too (didn't like Palermo but rest was lovely esp Taormina). Maderia is also nice. Amalfi Coast is nice - Pompeii, Vesuvius, visit to Capri, Positano etc.
