So the flights I spotted on Saturday - by the time I had managed to check schedules with other travellers - have gone up by £150 each.

I’m betting they will go down by... £20 in the next day or so.

Place your bets!

Have you tried to open an incognito window? This window will not take into account your browsing history and you might then retrieve the original price. It worked for me with Ryanair.

Are you clearing your cookies after looking at the flights? The websites seem to be designed to up the prices if they see you revisiting certain flights. You can get someone else to check the price and see if you are getting the same.

Set up an alert on skyscanner.

Or download the Hopper app which tracks and predicts price rises and falls. It worked for me booking flights last year. It is maybe similar to the sky scanner for alerts but the predictions were accurate for me.
