Hi does anyone know if this is worth the extra cost?

Oh apologies. I just saw that my thread on the other forum did post- doh!

No it isn't (in terms of seating). It's usually just economy seating with the middle seat blocked out.

You get refreshments though, plus priority boarding so you can get bags stowed etc.

Depends what you want it for. If its legroom and bumroom don't bother.

Depends how short haul you're talking and whether your time is so important you need the room to work while on the flight.

Definitely not worth it for holiday purposes. Unless you have some sort of reason for extra room.

For most companies a two hour flight can be written off..... maybe a 3/4 hour flight it might be worth the extra cost for the employee to be able work during the flight.

Stroller15 · 10/07/2019 16:43

Nah I don't think it's worth it. Not much difference and the flight is anyway short.

If you can get the cheaper upgrades (I've upgraded for £50) then I think it is worth it for access to the nice lounges at the airports. The seats are still crap but at least you get decent food and drink, plus priority boarding etc.

Agree on this though - your other thread says 4hr flight? Worth it for £12.50/hr. You can find options in manage your booking.

(Last time I flew BA shorthaul they thought they'd entice me with a £700 upgrade on a £95 fare. A brand new ticket in BC was less!)

Sometimes it is, you get on and off first and you can drink champagne which is nice. The hot towel you get is my favourite bit. A treat.

MNOverinvestor · 10/07/2019 17:51

If you know you've got more luggage than economy allows you, it can be a sensible idea to upgrade rather than pay excess baggage charges.

Not really worth it. I’m ex crew. You get nice food, champers, a bigger bum pitch (no extra leg room as they just pull the seats to adjust them to make them wider). You get to your destination at the same time as those in Traveller.
