Luggage alllowance

We have 15kg each can we add it together to have perhaps one large case weighing 30kg and another smaller one weighing 15kg?

Think there is a maximum per bag , 30kg is very heavy ! Some airlines limit one allowance per bag.

Is it, I have no idea about weight I just thought that 15kg doesn;t sound like a lot!

We've had bags over 22kg marked as "heavy" !

Ok will have to go back to the three bags then, my cases themselves are quite heavy you see so was trying to create more available weight by cutting down on my cases. Perhaps I need to buy some lighter cases.

You can't have any one case heavier thab 20kgs. This is for health & safety reasons so that the baggage handlers don't put their backs out I believe.

What airline are you flying with; I ask this as they should have their bag allowances on there.

Think the max permitted per bag these days is 23kg.

As far as I am aware you cannot pool bag allowances so what was proposed in your original post would not be permitted.

have checked with the airline and we can combine up to 32kg. We have bought some new lightweight luggage and we are taking one large case for dd and dp with maybe a few of my bits snuck in and I will have a case to myself witht he 15kg allowance. We can also take on 5kg of hand luggage.
