HALF-TERM SPOOKY FUN!
Judges Lodgings, Lancaster
Make witches? hats, spooky lanterns and Halloween masks. Mix potions with Witch Demdike, tell scary stories and meet our Celtic visitors to find out how Halloween was celebrated. Booking essential, tel : 01524 32808
This page has lots of inf about Lancaster (scroll down for more about the Judges Lodgings. May be best not to mention that some of the "witches" were hanged...)
I'm also looking at Herts and Beds, if anyone there wants something interesting for the kids at half-term?

Thanks for this Janh - will file it mentally for nearer the time once we know what we're doing!
In our case they would be most interested to know about the hanging of the 'witches' ... we took them to the Conciergerie in Paris, and they were both very disappointed there were no actual or replica guillotines
