Hi have seen a great deal for a holiday to Turkey. Ticks a lot of boxes. However I would be going alone with my 11 yr old daughter.
It’s a hotel resort that caters for families- wouldn’t bat an eyelid if it was me and another adult.
Have any of you done this ? If so was it enjoyable. Tia 😀

I can't remember, sorry! It was ages ago. We didn't leave the resort but AI places are all much of a muchness. I've been to Turkey pre-kids on my own and it was fine. I went to the market and local town and had no hassle at all (is that what you're worried about?)

I have been taking my DD there since she was 5 years old. You will both be fine; go and enjoy it; its a beautiful country.

Have you bloodymary ? Which part do you visit ? And it’s silly but I keep thinking about Syria and they it’s the next country

We always go to Olu Deniz. It is a small resort and very friendly. As I said DD and I go there quite often (she is 13 now) and we both love it.
We prefer to go B&B because there are so many places to eat out relativlely cheaply.
Also; my late DM used to worry about Syria being 'nearby'.
Nothing would convince her that we were not going to get shot or worse Confused. We just made sure to text her every night.
Go for it!

Where are you planning to go?

I lived in Turkey when my daughter was a baby and as my husband was working a lot I would spend a lot of time just me and her.

I never had any concerns out there, I was happy to go about on my own everywhere. Please don't worry. I'm sure you will love it. Turkish people are very friendly and they are great with children

And as for Syria, it is about 1,000 miles away from the resorts, so further than London to Berlin!
