On the beach/love holidays

I haven’t been abroad for 17 years and next year we will hopefully be finally going abroad! When I last booked you went to a travel agent and booked through them, however having looked on the internet there are some good deals to be had on these two websites! So my question is......are they reputable companies? Am I ok to book with them?

I've used them both. They're the kind of companies that are fine as long as nothing goes wrong, in which case you're on your own. I'd use them again.

These are agents so your contract is between you and the hotel and airline so not them (so if any aspect of the holiday goes wrong you will be on your own).

Would consider using a high street travel agency instead like Thomas Cook if you are not confident about booking the flight and hotel directly.

As agents they are NOT package tour operators so you are NOT buying a traditional package holiday.

I would personally avoid all such dynamic package agents because if any aspect goes wrong they will not be accountable for any mistakes because they are agents.

Thanks all for your reply’s, I will have a good look around as it is a lot of money to have things potentially go wrong! Thanks!

I have used on the beach twice and its been absolutely fine, and always a lot cheaper than Thomas cook /tui / etc

I believe you get ATOL protection when you book with on the beach as well

We've booked with love holidays a few times now and have had no problems, this summers holiday was 30% cheaper with LH than Thomas Cook's identical quote and we're flying with Thomas Cook.

They are not package tour operators, they just sell hotels and flights.
It can be cheaper to book like that, or indeed to book direct with the hotel but I have most often found the best deal with a tour opera.tor. Try Jet2. They have competitive prices and you have the security of knowing that you are covered if things go wrong.

Thankyou all for your replies, going with love holidays means we can actually afford to go abroad next year and I really want to take the kids on there first abroad holiday, I feel like I can’t afford to go with Thomas cook etc so on the beach sounded like the perfect solution! Thankyou all.
