My daughter starts primary school on 11th September, reception start a week after all the other children. Would a holiday that first week of September be cheaper thanin the "school holidays"? We went on a few thomas cook all inclusive holidays before she turned 2 and i had to pay for her flight, could I get something similar, with a kids club for under £800 all inclusive or half board for the 2 of us? Can anyone recommend any sites to look for for flights from birmingham?

Would also consider a city type break somewhere warm...I travelled a lot before having her so fine to travel independnalty, was considering eastern europe to keep the costs down..

Yes, we often go away at that time and we are flexible with dates so can go when cheaper. We do not pay school holiday prices, ever.

Jet2holidays fly from Birmingham, loads of choice and good prices. Put your requirements into their deals section and see what comes up. We've had packages for 2 adults at that time of year for that price, so I don't see why you couldn't get something similar for you and DD, especially if you are flexible about dates or destination.

Yes, almost always. Sometimes just a third of the price of the same holiday in August or July! We always go the first week of September with our kids (they go back late) and it is miles better. Fewer tourists, lower prices, gorgeous weather.
