Malaga

Hi, I'm trying to plan out first family holiday abroad but we're on a tight budget. We will be going in September and it will be DH, me and 3yo DC.

I've found some cheap flights to Malaga. But they arrive fairly late to then transfer somewhere else, so I'm thinking about booking a hotel close to the airport for the first night and spend the next day in Malaga, I have been to Malaga a few times with work and remember it as a nice place to spend a day.

After that I'm wondering about taking a train to a resort ideally not too far away, does anyone have any knowledge of the area? And whether this is doable with a 3yo in tow?

Thank you so much for any ideas.

I'm flying to Malaga next week and will get a taxi for about £25 to my hotel near Benalmadina. Should take about 20 minutes from the airport.
There are lots of family resorts very close to Malaga. To be honest with a three year old I'd just book your hotel for the week and get a taxi.

Torremolinos and Benalmadena are both really close, I would agree with Wanda and book for a week. Malaga is then a nice day trip which you can get to by train. Some hotels/apartments include a free transfer if you book direct.
