Hi

Does anyone know any nice family resorts in Alps preferably by lakes, with football, tennis for the kids. Nearby restaurants local town, nice walks etc Also if it's easy by train that would be a bonus.
Not much to ask for eh

That sounds lovely! Can I come?

Bumping for you OP.

Have you looked into any of the Kinderhotels? They have some stunners in the alps.

Larsson11 · 07/07/2019 19:37

Not sure if they are easily accessible by train

Annecy looks good.

Was looking at this website earlier.

morizin

Have you considered flying to Geneva and going from there,?

EvaHarknessRose · 07/07/2019 19:53

Morzine - you can get a pass for all the ski lifts to access the mountain tops, not sure about football but there's a local outdoor pool which is great and some of the lakes are lifeguarded and beautiful (happy memories of DD discovering tadpoles). Loads to do, especially mountain biking.

No specific lodging recommendations but we love the Jungfrau area in Switzerland. Lauterbrunnen and Grindelwald are both gorgeous, and Interlaken is a good place to stay if you want the lakes. Loads to do for the whole family and all three are very well connected with the trains.

We are going to Serfaus in Austria this summer. It is a very family friendly place lots to do for kids. Not accessible by train though.

Dsis recently stayed at place in Val di Fiemme and it looked and sounded lovely

MinnieMountain · 09/07/2019 07:14

Saas-Fee. Train to Visp then bus up the mountain.
We're going in August.

Larsson11 · 01/08/2019 02:35

Been to Annecy & Morzine - both are lovely but they don't really have any family resorts. Kinderhotels in Austria look good but too far to go by train (I hate flying)

At the risk of sounding facetious what's a family resort.
I know some places have nude adults, but aside from that what is one 😁

Larsson- are you going from uk by train? Have you found any good deals? Looking for family of 5, it was around £1000 to travel to south France 🙈

Kinderhotels looked good but pretty pricy

If they can afford Switzerland, then I'm another one who recommends the Jungfrau region. Stay in one of the mountain villages (Murren is lovely, and car-free, there are tennis courts, don't know about football), or see if you can camp or hire a static caravan at in the valley at Lauterbrunnen
