Hi has anyone been to Casares? Planning this for October this year- we've been to torremolinos and nerja on costa de sol before but never heard of Casares. Just wondered what kind of vibe is it, are there nice restaurants, nice beach etc? Thanks

Take a look on a map - it’s up in the hills, not coastal. It’s fine. Pretty. 4 nights would be enough.

There is Casares Pueblo (inland) and Casares Costa. We have an apartment in Casares costa. Plenty of restaurants just up the coast in Duquesa. A few restaurants in Casares costa itself.

Where about are you staying?

We are staying in Casares beach golf apartments- Calle dona Julia marina.
I'm not sure which Casares this is!?
We've just sort of provisionally booked on booking.com and planned to look more into it before deciding if we want to go.

Ok, it’s further down the coast from us, it’s classed as Casares Costa. It’s close is to Duquesa Marina which has loads of nice restaurants.

It’s not right on the beach, you’ll have a walk (maybe 20 mins). Are you hiring a car?

Casares Pueblo (inland) is one of my favourite Spanish villages. All white houses perched on cliffs. Some lovely restaurants in/near there too.

Enjoy. We love this part of Spain.
