Recommendations for family holiday on Jersey or Guernsey

I'm thinking of booking a week's holiday on Jersey or Guernsey in mid August. DH, me, DD(8) & DS(6). Our favourite holidays have been in static caravans and cottages, but I did have a lovely hotel holiday in Jersey as a small child.

Would prefer a quiet base, DH, me & DD are hermits (DS is a rogue socialite). We would be looking to do swimming, beach, walks in the countryside/coast, heritage sites, crazy golf ...while we're there.

I would be very grateful for any recommendations.

The Vazon Bay Apartments are a family-friendly family-run holiday complex on the west coast of Guernsey. They share an outdoor pool and a play area for children, plus the beach is just a short walk. It’s also within walking distance of a supermarket and a couple of restaurants.
Les Ormes Holiday Resort is on Jersey. There are a variety of accommodations (including villas, cottages and lodges), an outdoor pool complex, adventure playground, bike hire, bouncy castle, table tennis, basketball, multi-games tables and giant chess, plus a selection of beaches on its door-step.
