AI with a sandy beach near a town?

I'm looking for a holiday somewhere fairly near a nice town/harbour with a beach within walking distance but would also like a nice resort with a kids club. Partner wants to go all inclusive which we have never done before but willing to give it go.

Does anyone have any recommendations? Family of 4, kids 9 and 6. Budget around 2.5k and would ideally like last week of August.

There are some lovely AI hotels in Paphos, we stayed at the Louis Ledra Beach, it is directly on the beach and within walking distance to Paphos Marina with bars, shops, restaurants etc

I misunderstood your post as wanting a beach near the A1 road - I was going to suggest some Northumberland coastal villages!

Thanks for those suggestions I will def take a look!

WOW Bodrum is a lovely AI Hotel right on the beach and 10 minutes from the resort of Gumbet on the Bodrum Peninsula, Turkey.

Ciudad Blanca in Alcudia, Majorca - right by the beach, half hour walk to port, bit more to old town.

Porto Cristo is lovely. Insotel Cala Mandia is a very child friendly hotel within easy walking distance of the sandy beaches.

I've stayed at the Sol Principal also and can recommend it.

Is in a quieter area of town, but you can walk along the seafront to the harbour. Sandy Beach in front of the hotel and a lovely pool. Nice food.
