Can you check in booster seats with your luggage, or will that go over the allowance?

Just wondering, we are flying to spain in a month and the car hire company are charging us £100 for 2 booster seats for the week.
So can we take our own instead and just check them in with our luggage?

I was about to ask the same thing - although we are going longhaul, will hunt out the thread.

depends on airline . Usually they are ok about it but budget ones may charge extra. We've taken the base part as handluggage before now.

We flew to South Africa, and back to the UK with British Airways, we took two Britax car seats, one for dd to sit in, and seat no 2: they put it through fragile without weighing(spelling?) it. If unsure phone airways and ask.

I am going with a budget airline, but we are only taking the base so we should be OK

yes we are going with Easyjet and were planning on only taking 2 bases anyway, hope that would be ok?
