Got a family do nearby and thinking of extending holiday for a week. Will be me and 17 yo dd. Yay or nay to staying in Javea? Beach looks good.

Definitely yay .... Javea is really lovely. Great beach plus lots of very good restaurants and bars. We usually go in May. It’s very chilled. Would think summer months might be quite busy.

Yes it's lovely. Very Spanish compared to some of the places a little further south you will have a great time the drive there is through orange groves and the beach is fab. Lovely bakeries and cafes. We used owners direct website and a few options came up. Definitley go.

Javea is gorgeous we've been twice. Fabulous beach with bars restaurants lining it - lovely in an evening. It's quite spanish with no high rise buildings. Def recommend

Really wouldn’t recommend Torrevieja. It’s much more commercialised, built up and sprawling. Was lovely 40 years ago when I first went there. Can’t go wrong with Javea. Also take a trip to Altea old town, it’s beautiful.

Javea is fab. Go every year - good mix of main beach drag and a beautiful old town.

Thank you! I normally go to Greece so don't want over commercialised Christmas places! We have been offered a 2 bedroom apartment near the beach beside the canal so going to go and check it out!
