St Malo to Domaine des Ormes?

Has anyone here driven from St Malo to Domaine des Ormes? Is it an easy drive? Have never driven in France and I can't quite work out what the roads are going to be like from Google Maps (not that I'm bricking it or anything Grin). Is the N176 a dual carriageway?

Any tips generally for Domaine des Ormes? We're in a Eurocamp mobile home.

Thanks in advance!

Yes it'll be very easy - both N roads are dual carriageways, and it's not far. Don't worry, it'll be a breeze.

If you have never driven in France, the time you need to be really careful is after you've stopped eg at a garage. You really need someone to tell you to: "Drive in the right".

If you wear a watch, change it to the other wrist to the one you normally wear it on as the odd feeling will remind you to drive on the right.

Meant to say to tell you to drive on the right when you start off again!.

Thank you - and good tip about the watch!

The drive is straightforward and relatively quick.

Re domaine des ormes, we went last year and loved it. Some of the accommodation there - tree houses, raft houses and bubbles in trees! - is quirky and so walking round is fascinating. Loads to do, and the kids particularly enjoyed the zip wire over the lake.

The new indoor pool should be open which will help overcrowding in poor weather.

Only issues for me were crazy long takeaway queues and at certain times of day the shop was busy. But totally minor concerns - you will have a fab holiday!

If you're going to Mont St Michel, by the way, go early as it gets busy (or maybe go late? We didn't try that).
Happy holidays! We will go back, I think (trying different area this year).

Thank you again - driving was far less hair-raising than anticipated and the site is great!
