Best time of day to visit Top of the Rock NYC

We went just before sunset, got some lovely daytime photos then watched the sun go down and the lights start to twinkle!

Same here! On a clear day, with an amazing sunset. It was the one part of the whole trip that made me say 'wow'

If you’re not taking children, book a table at Bar Sixty Five www.rockefellercenter.com/food-and-drink/sixtyfive/ for just before sunset and stay for a couple of hours until the city is dark.
You don’t have to pay, and so can use the money you’d have spent on entry on food/drinks in there.

What countdown said, book a table and have a drink, gets you in quicker as well instead of queuing.

Don’t order food it’s not that great.

Evening time , it's amazing.

We did the opposite and went at the crack of sparrows jet-lag was working in our favour here. No queues and it was a brilliantly clear morning in April.

Would love to see it at sunset too.
