In Basel on a Sunday, any ideas as things closed apparently?

I am in Basel and thought cleverly I would come day early to look around sans children but apparently 90% of things are closed on a Sunday. Would love to see the general sights and wondered if anyone has any good ideas. Have a travel pass and thinking Munster and Rathaus. Off to google further but naively assumed things would be open!
