2adult+2child Manchester-Rome/Venice-Manchester now 2adult+1child

What to do?
Back in October, I bought cheap flights for 2 adults + 2 children from Manchester - Rome then Venice - Manchester which will now be 2 adults + 1 child. What do I do about the extra child’s tickets? Do I check the 3 tickets online and ignore the 4th then explain when we we drop off the bags or is it just a non subject and do not mention/just forfeit the ticket. Didn’t buy insurance so cannot claim back. Reason for not using is that the child was picked for a school trip which trumped the Italy tickets. Thanks.

So couldn’t check in to flight without canceling child’s flight & prepaid seat. Guessing this will mean the airline will resell the seat!? (Which means there maybe a random passenger sitting in between our family seats - ho hum, I guess.)

Just check them in!
