Indoor things to do near Weymouth/Dorchester with a 6yo

Can anyone recommend stuff for me please as I think my dreams of fossil hunting on the beach may not come true.

Nice indoor tourist attractions or even swimming pools, soft play areas, etc.

The sealife centre? we went when it was raining and had a great time, there is a soft play area but cant remember what its called

We're off to Weymouth at the weekend. If you google weymouth there are links to their tourist information site and quite a bit that you can download too.

Am meant to be coming on Monday but have emailed campsite and asked if we can come the following week instead. Not heard back yet but expect the answer will be no as they're booked up (Eweleaze).

Gets really busy here in Aug. We have our carnival in about 3 weeks too.
