September holiday ideas

I've got 10 days at the beginning of September and I want a decent holiday outside of Europe.

But I'm picky. Husband and I both fairly well travelled. Minimum requirements for me are a hotel on a beach, some culture that's accessible and not requiring a car to get around.

Toddler is nearly 3 but (so far) fairly chilled so don't need a kids club as long as we have enough to do outside of a resort.

We nearly booked Barbados last week as I found cheap flights but my husband was being tight and now they've gone through the roof.

September is monsoon/hurricane season for a lot of places which makes it tricky.

Any ideas greatly appreciated!

I know you said outside of europe but what about maderia? you can go whale/dolphin watching and there are loads of national parks/mountains/cable cars to ride

Er, Cyprus is in Europe and more so than Madeira geographically.

Marrakesh and/or Essouria in Morocco is often suggested on here. That should be nice and hot.

Cypus is in the EU but not in Europe. Its in the eastern Mediterranean (middle east)
